LABTrack Pro incorporates a powerful new way to organize your laboratory data, Called Smart-XForms, this feature allows users to easily and quickly create forms that structure any type of data that they may need to find later.
Built upon HTML and XML, and using the powerful indexing features of the Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases, Smart-XForms are very to easy to create. Users simply drop form elements, captions, tables etc. on their notebook page using the built in Word Processing toolbar buttons. Then they save the form as a template in the LABTrack database.
Saving forms as a template automatically registers the form elements for searching and indexing. For example in the simple SOP example shown below, the values selected or entered for the "Step Completed", "Initials" and 'pH" fields were automatically indexed and are listed as search options in LABTrack's searching function. Users can search for these values within their notebooks or combinations of notebooks. Multiple search items can even be selected to narrow the search to specific combinations of values, notebook page contents, statuses and properties. |
